I left for Andrea’s Thursday night for a shopping trip in London. Part way to Brantford we hit what we thought was a pretty bad storm but decided to keep going since nowhere else was supposed to get much snow. The snowflakes were big but the roads were staying pretty clear. Once we passed through Brantford it was just light flurries the rest of the way.
London has a few different baby stores that we don’t have so the plan was to spend the whole day on Friday shopping for stuff we still needed for the babies. Well I can say we definitely accomplished that. We picked up their car seat and stroller , bought different styles of cloth diapers, bought my diaper bag, a couple different styles of slings/wraps, a coat, bottles, and tons more. One of the reasons for the trip was a store in London carried the high chair that I wanted, however once there we were told it had been discontinued and was no longer available. Even though I didn’t get the high chair it was still a success trip.
On Saturday Reuben was coming out to London to pick me up and we were going to meet at the Mongolian Grill for dinner. With the possibility of a snow storm I suggested that he might want to wait until Sunday to come out but he insisted he’s be fine. Well the roads were clear until he hit Woodstock and then the storm hit. It was pretty bad but he made it. We all enjoyed our many bowls of stir fry and decided it was best to leave for Hamilton before the storm got any worse. It has never taken us so long to get home. We drove no more than 80km on the 401 and no more than 60km on the 403. Throughout most of the drive is was 1 lane of traffic because there was only 1 set of tracks on the road an no one was going to veer away from them. It took almost 3 hours to get home, and we both decided we will never drive in that again.
