Today was a big day. We dropped Hayli off at the vet at 8:30 this morning for her surgery. It was hard to leave her behind but we knew she would be ok. When I called them in the afternoon they said she was doing great. It was hard to wait until 5:00 to go pick her up. My mom came with me to get her since Reuben was working and I guess Hayli was disappointed that her “daddy” wasn’t there. She cried all the way home from the vet. Once home I couldn’t leave her by herself because she was still sedated. She was very unstable on the stairs and had trouble getting up once she was lying down. She kept an eye on the door though just waiting for Reuben to get home. Once he got home from work she was ecstatic. She couldn’t really do much besides wag her tail but you could tell she was thrilled to see him.
Today was Reuben’s last day of work at Gino’s pizza. They are really disappointed that he is leaving but he has to do what’s best for him. He starts at B&G Roofing on Monday working 9-5. We’ll keep you posted on how it goes.
